The
Aloha Massage Academy
at the Kona Healing Arts Center [
MAE 1353] in historic Kainaliu, on the Big Island of Hawaii,
offers a full massage licensing program.

This 570-hour program consists of:

Level 1 (Entry Level) - 150 hours:
*
50 hours of anatomy, physiology and structural kinesiology
* 100 hours of massage theory and practice (during this you will learn a full body routine)

New Level 1 class forming
January 29, 2007 - April 6, 2007

Level 2 (Advanced) - 420 hours
(Level 1 or the equivalent from another approved school required to take Level 2)
* 350 hours - classes in advanced techniques, and practical application in a supervised student clinic.
* 70 hours - clinical operations - office procedures, record keeping and sanitation

Completion of this program qualifies you to sit for the Hawaii State Board Massage Licensing exam and the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETMB), required for licensure in most states. (Click here for your states requirements.)
