Supervised Clinic: Clinic clients will be charged $30 per hour to cover supervision and expenses. Apprentices may keep their tips.

3:00Additional clinic hours are available upon request, with the agreement and availability of both the apprentice and myself.
Appointments will be recorded in a central scheduling book, students may be asked to assist with this (answering phones etc.) as part of their 30 hour requirement for Office procedures. If a student wishes to book their own client, they must first check that the time is available in the book, and then add it in so that no double booking occurs.
Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes prior to your first appointment, and staying until you have cleaned up after your last appointment.
Instruction
Cost is $50 per class for instruction hours. Fee to be paid in advance one month at a time, due on the 1st of every month. Classes will meet:
Saturday ~ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
(subject to change occasionally due to space availability)You are required to take at least 40 hours of instruction to fulfill your State requirements, however, classes are available every Saturday (except when Angela is away), and you may take more class hours and do less clinic hours if you choose. A schedule of class content is posted one month in advance.
Record Keeping
You will ask all new clients to fill out a Client Information Form and keep an ongoing record (form will be provided) of their progress to fulfill the 10 hour requirement for Record keeping.
Sanitation
To fulfill your 30 hour requirement for Sanitation, you will be expected to supply your own sheets and linens. You will be expected to launder and properly care for them in accordance with Hawaii State laws (this will be reviewed prior to the beginning of your apprenticeship).
State of Hawaii requirements for apprentices Pre-requisites to beginnning apprenticeship training: (150 hours)
- Not less that 50 hours of anatomy, physiology, and structural kinesiology
- Not less than 100 hours of theory and demonstration of massage
Apprenticeship training (6 months to 1 year duration) - (420 hours)
- 310 hours - hands on supervised massage with record keeping
- 70 hours - clinical operations (sanitation - 30, office procedures - 30, record keeping - 10)
- 40 hours - advanced techniques
